Project Mars purports to find hundreds of new wars in the historical record, emphasizing that these cases were missed because of Western biases in our data collection efforts. We found few new war cases. We also found that analyses supporting group inequalities and fighting result from incorrect values coded for multilateral wars. Correcting these fatalities values eliminates the relationship. Our online response probably best summarizes our review of the Mars dataset.
